Glued laminated timber (Glulam) is an industrially-manufactured product for load-bearing structures. Glued laminated timber comprises at least two kiln dried coniferous wood planks or laminations which are glued together with the fibres running in parallel. The initial material being strength-graded and homogenization via its layered structure, thanks to, it has improved properties and has higher load-bearing capacities than conventional structural timber.
